The "For Croatia without Fur" Campaign 2010-2011

| More

During the Stone Age, humans wore fur out of necessity, not as a means of expressing their taste in fashion. Civilized people cannot understand how it is possible that the fur industry is allowed to gain its bloody profit by destroying numerous animal lives in a most brutal way, simply because these animals have been born in furry bodies.

Animal Friends organized the anti-fur protest in Zagreb on Saturday, February 5, 2011. The protest started at 11:00 A.M. from Trg kralja Tomislava and took the following route: Trg Nikole Subica Zrinskog (Zrinjevac), Teslina, Masarykova, Frankopanska, and Ilica, ending at Trg bana Jelacica – where at 12:30 P.M. an impressive performance took place. Croatian celebrities Luka Nizetic, Lea Dekleva and Fani Stipkovic supported the protesters by joining them at the protest.

On March 6 Animal Friends sent to the media in Croatia the list of the most cruelly dressed Croatian celebrities. The list can be seen here.
