Animal Friends calls for help for animal victisms of Tsunami
Sharing compassion with all victims of the greatest natural disaster of our time, Animal Friends joins the worldwide action of collecting financial help for tsunami's animal victims. With this action we join organizations like IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare), FARM (Farm Animal Reform Movement), WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals), Cetacea Defense, Noah's Wish, and many other.
Experts, vets and fieldworkers are coming this weekend to India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand to join their efforts with local animal welfare and protection organizations. United Kingdom prepares National day of street collecting of financial help for animal victims of tsunami. Animal Friends also starts off a campaign of collecting financial help for animals of Southeast Asia, victims of earthquake and tsunami.
Animal Friends reminds you that, besides people, many other animal species need our help. Local animal rights and protection activists, who survived the disaster, daily struggle to help sick and hungry animals. As volunteers, we realize the difficulties these organizations cope with and we ask everyone to help all victims of tsunami because natural disasters do not choose their victims.
We ask all concerned citizens to make their donations on our info stand on Saturday, January 8, 2005, in front of Dubrovnik Hotel (Gajeva ulica) from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. This action will be repeated next Saturday at the same time and in the same place. You can also make a donation on the bank account of Animal Friends 2360000-110153037 (please note "for animal victims of tsunami").
